Dear Students,

 

 

International Relations Office deals in international educational cooperation and programs other than Erasmus by EU and Mevlana Exchange Program by the Council of Higher Education. International Relations Office, through signing bilateral and multilateral educational cooperation protocols with the countries all over the world, enables student and faculty exchange.

 

 

If you would like to take advantage of these educational cooperation programs; first things first, you need to decide a university/universities where you want to study. You can do this at our website under the tab “Partnership” by looking at “List of Partners”. After this step, you need to contact the International Office at the relevant university stating your willingness to study at that university.

 

 

The steps to manage the process are as follows:

 

 

·         In case you would like to study at a university with which we do not already have a cooperation protocol, you may contact our office stating that you would like to study at that university: intoffice@std.yildiz.edu.tr

 

 

·         However, this is a process which requires time for the correspondence between the two universities and which may also have a negative result. In other words, the university you would like to study at may not be interested in signing an educational cooperation protocol with our university for several reasons. Regarding these, please contact us at least one or wo semesters before you plan to go to study at that university.

 

 

·         When you decide to go abroad as an exchange student within a scope of educational cooperation protocol, unfortunately, our university doesn’t provide you financial support.

 

 

·         Another thing you need to consider as one the first things, please visit the university’s website to find out about the application dates and required documents. If this information isn’t at the website, please contact the International Relations Office through e-mail or phone to get the regarding information.

 

 

·         You need to carry out the correspondence as students. You need to have a command of foreign language good enough to study at that university and to carry out the correspondence. Our office does not do the correspondence.

 

 

·         If you are coming in contact with a university with which we already have an existing cooperation, in your first e-mail or phone call, please specify your interest in that university and ensure that they find a copy of that protocol attached to your e-mail.

 

 

·         Once you qualify to enroll as an exchange students as a result of your correspondence with the universities, you need to carry out the paperwork required by our university.

 

 

This paperwork is divided into two groups one of which is the ones you need to prepare before you leave. The others are the ones that you need to prepare when you return. 

 

 

The documents/forms you need to prepare before you leave Yıldız Technical University:

 

 

Please fill in the following documents electronically and put in the following order.

 

 

-  A Copy of the Signed Protocol 

A copy of the protocol signed between the two universities

 

-  Application Form for Outgoing Students

The original of Yıldız Technical University Application Form for Outgoing Students and a copy of the application form to be filled in for the university you are going to visit

 

-  Transcript of Records 

      Stamped Transcript in Turkish (Original)

 

-  Learning Agreement  

The original of the Learning Agreement signed by both sides and showing the courses to be taken at the university the student is visiting - In case the original doesn’t arrive in time, a scanned version through e-mail is acceptable temporarily)

 

-  Acceptance 

A copy of the acceptance/invitation document proving that you have been accepted by the university you would like to study at

 

-  İntibak A Form  ( Undergraduate   , Graduate   , Graduate (Thesis)   )

The original of the document demonstrating that the courses you have taken at the host university equal to the ones at Yıldız Technical University (3 copies)

 

-  Faculty Board Decision  

A copy of the decision document showing that İntibak A Form has been approved by the faculty board

 

-  A Copy of Procuration 

A copy of notary authorized procuration you left to a relative for the banking and enrollment while you are abroad (Optional)

      

-  YTU Tuition Fee Receipt 

Tuition Fee Receipt for the term when you are abroad (For evening education students and the students who completed their usual period of study)

 

-  A Copy of Visa-Passport 

         The copies of the first page and the pages with identity information and validity date on them

The documents/forms you need to prepare when you return to Yıldız Technical University:

 

 

Please fill in the following documents electronically and put in the following order.

 

 

-  Certificate of Attendance 

A copy of the signed and stamped document encompassing your period of exchange that was given by the university abroad

 

-  Transcript 

A copy of the signed and stamped transcript taken from the host university (The transcript showing the courses in the Learning Agreement with the achievement status and ECTS credit equivalents)

 

-  İntibak B Form Undergraduate   , Graduate   , Graduate (Thesis)   )

The original of the document showing that the courses taken at the host university were approved equal according to the achievement status in your transcript

 

-  Faculty Board Decision 

A copy of the decision document showing that İntibak B Form has been approved by the faculty board

 

-  Final Report Form   

The form containing your evaluation regarding your exchange activity

 

-  Observation Report

A one-page report where you discuss your overall impression regarding the host university, department and the issues regarding education, social life and administrative processes  

 

 

Note: All the documents on the Supervision Form must be submitted in one file.
